About

A calculator built for solar owners — not the grid.

The Net Meter Calculator turns the confusing numbers on your bidirectional meter into one clear answer: are you in credit, or do you owe? It’s free, needs no sign-up, and keeps every reading private on your own device.

How it works

Six steps to your net balance

  1. 1

    Choose currency & region

Set your local currency so the cost figure is meaningful.

  2. 2

    Off-peak import #8

Enter the present meter reading and the units on your last bill.

  3. 3

    Peak import #6

Do the same for peak-hour consumption.

  4. 4

    Off-peak export #5

Add your exported units and any deduction percentage.

  5. 5

    Previous surplus

Include any credit carried forward from last cycle.

  6. 6

    Read your result

See your net surplus, status and estimated amount update live.

The formula

Every figure rolls up into one transparent calculation:

Net surplus = (Export − deduction) − (Off-peak import + Peak import) + Previous surplus

Your data stays yours

Every calculation runs entirely in your browser. Readings are saved only to your device’s local storage and are never sent to a server — there’s nothing to sign up for and nothing to leak.
